Is Guild Wars 1 Still Playable. Guild Wars 1 Release Date. Even though its free, and I can continue to playGuild Wars Free. But I gave it a go for an hour, got up the levels and abilities, explored the starter area, poked around in the interfaces and features, and just didnt see or find any new above-and-beyond fun in it. I knew pretty quickly it wasn't going to grab me as it started out and looked/behaved/setup exactly like every other generic ho-hum MMO out there. Well, I gave it an honest go, and my summary is "that was a waste of my lunch hour".Its free, sure, but, eh.Sorry, I'm sure its someone's cup of jo, but it just didn't scream 'this is so different and cool!'. I just honestly don't see me doing that. Its got the same draw to me like Rift and Defiance has. C-D Kit T-94, -50 Tr - CATALOG 5c (Circular Free) CLEVELAND MODEL & SUPPLY CO. Lay Hold Of 15 OFF Promotional. Its not like its 'due to other people in the game' because in the starter area, there really isn't all that many other players. Seems no amount of up-adjust or down made it run any better either. But compared to all kinds of other 1-2 year old amazingly visual and heavy graphic games, gw2 is running like I'm playing on my old old system. Something 3 years old with updates shouldn't run like ass like it is.Well I dont know what 'great' is to an MMO game. So I dunno what the deal was there.
![]() Guild Wars 2 looked like mud, blurry, nasty mud.You must be one of those people who requires a game to engage your mind at least on some minimal level. EQ looked good in its day. It really looked awful and yet other games with good graphics ran great so I wrote it off as being due to cider suckage since people reported in ran well in Windows.I can't put down EverQuest the way I just did. The only way to get a playable framerate was to turn everything down so low, including the resolution that the game looked uglier than EverQuest in 1999. If that causes sluggish gameplay, hell, I'd hate to get to a main area lol. That sounds a lot like what I saw when I tried it on the 2011 iMac. I'll just hang out reading guild chat and casting my line daydreaming about stuff while I skill up. That's about as mindless as game play gets I'd say. To give you an idea of just how bad I am when it comes to this, I like fishing in WoW sometimes. And to some extent, in Lord of the Rings Online. Especially back in StarWarsGalaxies days. No wonder I have so many unplayed games.Oh, I've been there too in MMO's. I have done this to max with more than one character, reputation earned fishing poles and all. I cannot explain what it is. And then I've tried like Rift, and Defiance, and now GW2, and they all just dont have that special something that grabs me. While I did try WoW for two months during the intial time granted, I didn't see it keeping me. It might be easier to just establish an entirely new and separate account or better still to not bother at all and go do something else besides being irritated by these clowns. I don't know if that is even relevant anymore. I did that in case some miracle happened and I actually did some stuff in the first game that would carry over to the second. I had already linked my existing original Guild Wars account to Guild Wars 2 during a free promo weekend at one point. I get burned out enough at work to enjoy the simpler of games at timesI cannot believe what a royal pain in the ass the login for Guild Wars 2 now in its free form is. But is relatively enjoyable on a basic visual level or something. Anti malware software for macMeantime, I see Guild Wars 2 listed as well but it wants me to register. There, I can see my Guild Wars account is listed as active, not that it lets me click on this to do anything all related to it, such as view my account info or whatever. If they come back with something painless, MAYBE I will try it again." I can login to my account on the relevant page of your site. I like that game and it doesn't piss me off. Maybe I should grab a deck of cards and just sit down at my kitchen table for some hassle free solitaire. At least I hope to God that is how it works in the console worlds. I keep careful records of all this BS and they STILL find ways to pork me even when I have retained valid login information. Is it any wonder that console gaming is looking better and better to me as time goes by?
